Daniel Russo primarily practices in the area of criminal defense, dietary supplement law, general civil litigation and real estate matters. He brings his wide range of experience to Collins, McDonald & Gann after operating his own practice in the areas of criminal defense and real estate matters.
Dan is a former Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and violent felony cases up to and including trial. In addition, he is a former associate at the law firm of Stern & Montana, LLP, where he conducted insurance fraud investigations on behalf of insurance carriers.
Dan is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and frequently authors articles published in the Nassau Lawyer. Dan has published articles on topics ranging from the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment to criminal procedure in New York City courts. He has also been a guest commentator on Court TV between 2003 and 2005.
