Rick Collins Honored at “Leadership In Law” Event
Rick Collins was honored last night at the annual “Leadership in Law” awards, an event presented by Long Island Business News and attended by hundreds of top professionals in the Long Island law and business communities. The event featured a formal presentation of awards to honorees, where Rick was one of fourteen partners from law firms throughout Long Island to be recognized as a “Leader in Law.” Awardees were selected by a committee of business leaders, and were selected based on career and professional accomplishments, as well as philanthropic work in the community, including the “Leap for Life” international charity skydive events Rick created. “Leap for Life” raised thousands of dollars for cancer research with the help of many brave volunteer skydivers.
The Leadership in Law award specifically recognizes leaders in the legal community for their commitment to excellence, dedication, compassion and leadership within the legal profession and the community. Rick was thrilled to join with some of the region’s most esteemed law professionals at this event, which took place at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
Partners Marc Gann and Bob McDonald, as well as associates Bob Schalk, Dan Russo and the newest addition to the CMG team law assistant David Torreblanca, all joined with Rick at the event to celebrate this honor. This is the second time that Long Island Business News has honored Rick with an award – in 2011, he was honored with the paper’s “50 Around 50” award, in recognition of his leadership in business, mentoring and support for Long Island’s not-for-profit organizations and commitment to the community.
